Dobrich is the breadbasket of Bulgaria with some of the best agricultural land and long traditions in growing crops. The grain elevator is located on the outskirts of the town, 55 km from Varna port and has a total capacity of 60,000 tons. The 4 rows of corrugated steel grain bins hold 50,000 tons and there is also a 5,000 tons concrete silo as well as 3 warehouses holding a further 5,000 tons.
